Interesting initiative is Melkvee Academie with it's Melkvee Connect. You can call it a vertical hyves for Dutch farmers, where they can meet and chat online. All dairy farmers, students, researchers from universities and agricultural sector and supportive companies that make a business at this sector can join, exchange information, documents, blog articles and video, expand their network etc. This Web 2.0 community connects a complete business sector and function actually as 1 large sector intranet, with all advantages of web-based entrance. Interesting is that online tools (networks, study and interest groups) are re-inforcing and enabling already excisting physical activities
